Volunteer Work
I love doing volunteer work and helping others when they need a helping hand. I find immense happiness in these activities, and my heart feels warm every time I can make a difference in someone's life. The joy of knowing I've positively impacted someone's day fuels my passion for volunteering and inspires me to continue giving back to the community.
Taylor's Student Volunteering
Volunteering at Taylor's College events has been very enriching. Each experience taught me valuable lessons and contributed significantly to my personal and professional growth.

Taylor's Public Speaking Competition 2023
I had assisted in IT and equipment for Taylor's Public Speaking Competition 2023 by The ESU on19 March 2023. I was entrusted to record all competitor's speeches and ensure the judges had working microphones to voice their judgement.

Radiodays Asia 2023
I volunteered at Radiodays Asia, a prominent event held at Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur from September 5-6, 2023. During the event, I had been entrusted with being a receptionist and greeting prominent figures in the broadcasting industry. I was also entrusted to proofread blogs written for the event before they were uploaded and help with the media team in photography and videography. This helped me improved my communication skills, photography skills, videography skills and proofreading skills.

Precious of Malaysia Cultural Fashion Week 2023
I volunteered for Precious of Malaysia Cultural Fashion Week at Zebra Square KL on 29 October 2023, dedicating my time from 2 PM to 11 PM to assist with the event. I managed the registration table, where I greeted and took attendance of the many VVIP guests and media attendees. This experience allowed me to witness a variety of fashion works tailored by participants in the Cultural Fashion Week competition. Additionally, it helped enhance my communication skills, especially in interacting with VVIPs.

Taylor's College CSR "Gifts of Love" 2023
On December 23rd, 2023, I volunteered for Taylor's College CSR Activity, "Gifts of Love," organized by the School of Diploma and Professional Studies. Our team visited Pusat Jagaan Rumah Orang Tua Chik Sin Thong Klang, Pantai Selangor, and Sunshine Nursing Home to bring holiday cheer to the residents. We engaged in gift distribution and carolling, creating a joyful atmosphere for the elderly. This experience allowed me to enhance my communication and teamwork skills as we coordinated activities and interacted with the residents.

Food Aid Foundation Community Service 2024
On 5th February 2024, I volunteered at the Food Aid Foundation in Cheras with Taylor's College. I helped clean out their warehouse filled with non-food items, managed the labeling of expiry items, and conducted inventory. Additionally, I listened to a meaningful talk by their staff about the Food Aid Foundation's mission and the importance of food security. This experience gave me a glimpse into the significant impact of non-food items in humanitarian aid, deepening my understanding through both the informative talk and the physical work of organising the warehouse.

Media Insight Scope 2024
On 9th May 2024, I volunteered at Media Insight Scope at Taylor's College, an innovative event by Media Comm Sphere of Diploma in Communication, in conjunction with World Press Freedom Day 2024. As the organizing chairperson and Emcee for the event's forum, I oversaw the entire event, ensuring that every team worked coherently and in tandem while keeping track of project documentation. This experience taught me a lot about leadership and teamwork, and I successfully managed to carry out a successful event.
External Volunteering
Volunteering outside of college out of personal interest has been very rewarding. Each experience taught me valuable lessons and contributed to my personal growth, enhancing my skills and understanding in many ways.

St. Michael Angels 2019
My volunteering journey began on November 2, 2019, when I volunteered at Tzu Chi Community Centre (Kota Kemuning) with my church group, St Michael Angels. I helped sort recyclable items, which was a rewarding experience. On December 14, 2019, I joined the same group to bring joy to the residents of Persatuan Rumah Kebajikan Ebenezer, an old folks home. We sang carols and spent time with the elderly, listening to their life stories and forming meaningful connections.

Malaysia Flash Floods Volunteering 2021
In December 2021, I volunteered at the Church of Divine Mercy to support relief efforts for the Klang flood victims. I helped sort daily necessities and food donated by others and moved boxes of food from trucks that arrived at the church. Although it was physically tiring, the experience was well worth it as I was able to offer my help to those affected by the floods.

The White Flag Initiative 2022
From April 2022 to August 2022, I served as an event organizer and committee member for the NGO "The White Flag Initiative," founded by Christopher Cheong. During the pandemic, this initiative provided free education to students, continuing the work started during the Movement Control Order. Instead of distributing rice and oil, Christopher chose to share his knowledge, offering free educational resources. My role in the organization helped me improve my writing skills and exercise my creativity, particularly when crafting invitations for the events hosted by our team.

Beach Clean-Up 2022
On July 8th, in conjunction with World Ocean Day, I participated in a beach cleanup at Pantai Puteri, Malacca, organized by the NGO "The White Flag Initiative." We were divided into teams of three, each assigned to a different section of the beach. My team was responsible for cleaning the left side, where we worked diligently to remove trash and debris, contributing to the preservation of our beautiful coastline.

Volunteer Teacher for Catholic Church of the Divine Mercy 2022 - 2024
From January 2022 to January 2024, I volunteered as a Bible Teacher Assistant for children aged 7 to 10 years old at the Church Of Divine Mercy, committed to supporting students in their spiritual journey. I provided guidance, insight, and assistance in religious education, fostering a deeper understanding of faith and scripture. With a passion for teaching young children, I helped create engaging teaching plans and activities, ensuring the children had fun while learning. My role included assisting the main teacher and keeping the children actively involved in the lessons.

Video Editor for Youth Ministry 2023 - 2024
I volunteer as the video editor for the Church of Divine Mercy's media team in the Youth Ministry. Dedicated to creating engaging and impactful content, I craft visually compelling videos and curate captivating Instagram captions to share messages of faith and love with the world. Since June 2023, I have also occasionally designed posts for the Youth Ministry's social media, ensuring our online presence is both inspiring and visually appealing.
